Travis Geyer is a San Francisco based guitarist and music educator. He began studying piano at age 8 but fell in love with the guitar in his teenage years. He graduated from UC Berkeley in 2012 with a BA. He has studied under Michael Goldberg, Jeff Massanari and most recently Jonathan Kreisberg. He works in a variety of musical groups in the Bay Area. In 2020 he released his first studio album titled Stir Crazy, a jazz guitar trio album featuring 8 of his original works. The music pays homage to great jazz guitarists of the past such as Wes Montgomery, Grant Green and Johnny Smith. In addition to composing and performing regularly on guitar, he is also a Concert Band Director for the San Francisco Unified School District. Currently he is working on a Jazz/ Hip Hop fusion album with members of his band Boomdido.
